Refund policy

The Happy Southerner is not responsible for shipping delays, lost packages, or carrier-related issues once an order has been handed to the carrier. 

In Store Return Policy:

  • Returns & exchanges can be made in store at our retail location at 1036 Johnnie Dodds Blvd, Mt Pleasant, SC 29464. 
  • You can make your return/exchange during normal business hours.
  • Returns must be made within 14 days of receiving your order.
  • Refunds will be issued in the original form of payment when merchandise is received.
  • Merchandise must be in its original condition with all tags attached. Merchandise must not be used, worn, altered, or washed.
  • Mahjong Tiles must be returned unopened, in their original packaging, with all accessories included to be eligible for a full refund. Tiles must be returned sealed in their original shrinkwrap, with 4 original tile information cards, dice pouch and dice to be eligible for a full refund.

Online Return Policy:

  • If you made a purchase online and need to return the item, you can mail the item/items back to us at:

  • Refunds will be issued in the original form of payment when merchandise is received. You will receive a confirmation email notifying you that your return has been processed. 
  • Buyer is responsible for all return shipping costs. Please include your name and order number to ensure proper processing. 
  • Shipping charges are non-refundable. Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer.
  • Discounts can not be applied to previously purchased items.

  • Once your return is received and inspected, we will notify you of the status of your refund. Approved refunds will be processed within 5–10 business days and applied to your original method of payment.  
  • All returns must be authorized before sending products back to us. Please contact us direct before sending items back. 

Online Exchanges: 

  • If you are wanting to make online exchange, you will need to return the original products to us (once the products are returned, you will receive a refund on those products).
  • If you are wanting a new product or different size of a product, you will need to go through the process of placing a new order online. 
  • Shipping charges are non-refundable. Return shipping is the responsibility of the customer.
